This is one of my favorite Blackbird stories about a crash that happened right before the Sr-71's were retired from the Air Force in 1989. It is a mix of high-tech secrecy and something as low-tech as some sticks. It's possible you may have heard PARTS of this story, but the full-story is quite amazing and endearing.
