We did some test loads using Lehigh .50 cal., 350 grn. brass bullets and some RRS (sabots). Based on our past tests using these sabots, I didn't think we'd have any issues. But the whole set up was a mess. The problem wasn't from shortening the sabot fingers, but an inherently weak support using the RSS with this weight of bullet. The faster burning powder just added to the mess.
