People often chide us for not having a backstop, or they see cars off in the distance and think we are being reckless. Maybe they just can't judge distances through the lens of a camera, they don't understand physics, or assume shotguns can shoot further than a .50 bmg sniper rifle. I don't know. But people have asked me how far a shotgun slug can travel and when I tell them, they are often surprised and don't believe me.
