We had such cool results using steel wool that many people (including zman) wanted to see how other metals would work. The metal must be very fine so it has a large surface area if it has a chance of burning. For the metal filings, I tried to use the same weight per shell, around 2 grams. For the steel wool, I just stuffed as much as I could fit and still get the rest of the components loaded. I tried to use every metal that was suggested to me by viewers - except for gold and other stuff that was too costly. (lesson: suggest ideas BEFORE we make videos instead of AFTER)
These metals did not damage the barrel or cause pressure spikes. Always use extreme caution when adding anything to shotgun shells. (avoid it if possible!)
We shot at near-empty aerosol cans with isobutane propellants. This shows how difficult it can be to get the RIGHT air/fuel ratio for ignition.
I'm having some issues with my computer - my voice recordings are all choppy and I'm sure many have noticed this in my recent videos. I had to cancel my plans to build a new computer due to an over 75% drop in earnings this year.
