Ever wonder how far you can shoot a wax slug? These crude slugs will travel at least 400 yards, but can you hit anything with them?
We used low powder Federal target loads, with a velocity of about 1200 fps. The results were actually pretty revealing, and surprising. This should give non-shooters an idea how far slugs actually travel. They won't go 2Ă‚Ë miles and hit the cars in the background, or even 1000 yards to the bulldozer. It's fun to see the comments from people who think a shotgun CAN shoot that far though!
